Recent Amendments to NEET Eligibility
- NTA has removed the Upper Age Limit criteria — candidates above 25 years of age are now eligible to appear for the NEET exam.
- No restriction on the number of attempts — candidates can appear for NEET as many times as they wish, provided they satisfy all other eligibility criteria.
- Candidates who have taken Biology as an additional subject in Class 12 are also now eligible to apply for NEET.

Academic Qualification
Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as main subjects from a recognized board.
Minimum Age
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age in the month of December of the year in which they are appearing for NEET.
Nationality
Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are all eligible to apply for NEET 2024.
Number of Attempts
No upper limit on attempts. Candidates may appear as many times as needed, provided all other eligibility criteria are met.

Candidates must secure the following minimum marks in their Class 12 qualifying examination to be eligible for NEET 2024.

Eligibility for NRI & Foreign Students
- Must have passed Chemistry, Physics, English, and Biology/Biotechnology with 50% marks in Class XII or equivalent from an internationally recognized board.
- Equivalency of foreign qualifications is determined by the Association of Indian Universities as per MCI regulations and the concerned university's guidelines.
- This includes candidates who pursued the B (International Baccalaureate), GCSE, or Advanced Placement curriculum in their schools abroad.
- IB candidates studying in India are also fully eligible to appear for NEET 2024 under the standard NRI eligibility rules.
